The current version of Spells & Secrets on GOG is 1.0.3, while the Steam version is 1.0.4. Unfortunately, we currently don't expect the GOG version to receive another update. The original development team behind Spells & Secrets is no longer active, which makes maintaining and updating all existing platform versions difficult. We always try to keep our games consistent across platforms, but unfortunately this isn't possible in every case. The differences between versions 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 are relatively minor and should not have a significant impact on the overall gameplay experience. However, if you purchased the game on GOG and would prefer to play version 1.0.4, please send us a message via the Can I help? button at the bottom right with the subject "Spells & Secrets 1.0.3". We'll be happy to provide you with a free Steam key so you can play the latest available version.

Hey everyone 👋, We'll be straight up: The launch of the Nintendo Switch version of Spells & Secrets was a mess 🤦. We're really sorry – we definitely dropped the ball on this one. To make things a bit right, we're offering to swap your Switch keys for PS5 or Xbox keys. Additionally, for those who can't or don't want to switch to another console, we're happy to offer an alternative game for the Nintendo Switch – either Super Dungeon Maker or Beasties 🌟. Unfortunately, Spells & Secrets does not have a dedicated version for Linux at the moment. That means there isn't a Linux-specific build available for installation on Linux systems, so you may not be able to run it natively the way you would with a Windows or macOS release. We understand that this is frustrating, especially if you were hoping to play on a Linux machine. If you tell us what Linux distribution you're using and how you're trying to run the game, we can help point you toward any options that may be available today and suggest the most practical next steps based on your setup. In the meantime, we recommend keeping an eye out for updates, as dedicated support can change over time.
